April 17th, 2009 sees the release of the sophomore album from Sunstorm, which is basically a musical outlet from American vocalist Joe Lynn Turner, who rose to fame in 1981 when he joined Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow. Following his tenure with Rainbow and a solo debut, Turner ventured into cooperation with Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Deep Purple, Mother’s Army, Brazen Abbot, and the Hughes Turner Project while fully launching a solo career. Sunstorm’s debut saw the light of day when Joe Lynn Turner was approached by Frontiers Records’ label president who suggested that he dusted off some material that he had written for his second solo album that was, however, never recorded.

The second Sunstorm album, House of Dreams, has been recorded with an identical line-up as on the debut, the band consisting of guitar player Thorsten Koehne [Code Of Perfection, Eden’s Curse], guitar player Uwe Reitenauer [Pink Cream 69, Place Vendome], bassist/producer Dennis Ward [Pink Cream 69, Place Vendome], keyboard player Gunter Werno [Vanden Plas] and drummer Chris Schmidt.

Having focused on neo-classical hard rock or metal with his three biggest employees, Rainbow, Deep Purple and Yngwie Malmsteen, Sunstorm is based on adult orientated rock [AOR] and melodic hard rock, with a clean production and material suited for corporate radio.
